<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mount oscillator which surely describes product shipment information in miniaturization. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is the surface-mount crystal oscillator constituted so that a crystal piece 2 and an IC chip 3 are housed in a container body 1 at least one principal plane of which is provided with a recessed part and consisting of a bottom wall 1a and a frame wall 1b, and the crystal piece 2 is hermetically sealed, wherein the container body 1 has a built-in antenna by printing, both terminals of the antenna are connected to antenna terminals in IC terminals of the IC chip 3, and readable product shipment information including an oscillation frequency is recorded in the IC chip 3 as electronic data by radio communication.
