<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding door and a window with the folding door enabling smooth movement and folding of door plates over a long period of use, suffering less malfunction and degradation, and enabling full opening of a window frame or a wall face corresponding to a folding door part. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The folding door includes a suspended door plate one end of which is rotatably supported to a support member by means of a shaft at a predetermined shaft-supporting position, a moving door plate foldably connected to the suspended door plate at a connecting position on an end side opposite to the shaft-supporting position, and a lateral frame having a guide channel guiding the movement of the moving door plate. The suspended door plate and the moving door plate are rotatable. The folding door further includes a housing area housing the suspended door plate and the moving door plate which are rotated and folded. The moving door plate has a guide member slidably fitted to the guide channel. The moving door plate is moved by the movement of the guide member in the guide channel. The guide channel has a predetermined starting point and a predetermined ending point, and is formed diagonally from the starting point to the ending point without bending.
