<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bisphenol-Z polycarbonate in high efficiency without using operations such as separation and purification of cyclic bisphenol-Z polycarbonate oligomer monomer, by carrying out ring-opening polymerization of a mixture of the cyclic bisphenol-Z polycarbonate oligomers. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the bisphenol-Z polycarbonate resin comprises ring-opening polymerization of the cyclic bisphenol-Z polycarbonate oligomer mixture, wherein the ring-opening polymerization is carried out by using a triarylphosphine and/or a tetraalkylphosphonium salt as a polymerization catalyst.
