发明名称 Improvements in or relating to brazing torches
摘要
895,245. Soldering. UNITED KINGDOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY. July 6, 1959 [Aug. 1, 1958], No. 24961/58. Class 83 (4). [Also in Group XI] A torch comprises an arc chamber having a gas inlet and a gas outlet, a first arc electrode in the arc chamber and a second arc electrode positioned across the outlet of the chamber to confine the arc within the chamber. A tungsten electrode 5 is held by a collet chuck 6 and passes through a bonded fibre insert 2 secured against a step 3 in a tubular body 1 to which is screwed an inner ceramic nozzle part 10 having an outer graphite part 11. The electrode terminates adjacent the lower end 12 of the graphite part which is pierced by holes 13. An arc between the electrode 5 and the graphite part is initiated by high-frequency discharge and is maintained by a 60 volt D.C. supply and argon is passed through the nozzle from a pipe 14 to emerge heated from the holes 13 for use in soldering, brazing, local heat treatment, local stress relieving and softening metals for bending &c. A reducing gas may be introduced into the inert gas for fluxless brazing.
