The method involves aligning bulk goods (2) by a deflecting device (10) e.g. mechanical guide plate, along an external edge (9) of a conveyor path (1), and separating the bulk goods from each other. A parameter individualizing the goods is detected by a detecting device (12). The separated bulk goods are divided into a set of separated bulk goods by the deflecting device, where the set of separated bulk goods are conveyed along the external edge and another external edge (13) of the path. The set of bulk goods is aligned at a center (14) of the path and supplied to a processing station (15). An independent claim is also included for a device for conveying and sorting bulk goods comprising a conveyor path for supplying bulk goods.
