The machine has a conveyer device for conveying a textile web sequentially in a conveying direction (3) that coincides with a longitudinal extension of the textile web. The textile web is supplied to a connecting station (10). Connection tools penetrate a plane of the textile web and insert connection threads into the textile web. An angle (beta) is formed by the connection tools in the plane of the textile web with the conveying direction of the conveying device and deviates from a small amount of another angle (alpha) from a right angle.
