PURPOSE: A user interface providing method and multimedia equipment for improving a user interface in order to accurately select an icon are provided to magnify a confusion domain wrongly inputted touch. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen(1130) displays a plurality of icons. In case the touch screen is touched, a controller(1140) decides whether the confusion generated. If the confusion is created, the controller controls the touch screen in order to magnify the confusion generating area. The confusion generating area comprises the domain in which two or more icons are touched among a plurality of icons.
