<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily achieve operational settings convenient for an operator individual, and to also easily return to original operational settings. <P>SOLUTION: A multifunction peripheral 2 includes: a display section 10 or the like for performing a display operation; a main memory 24 capable of storing operation setting information related to the operation; and an antenna 9 for performing radio communication with a tag card T storing and holding thereon individual setting information related to the operation. In the case where the display section 10 or the like is controlled on the basis of stored contents in the main memory 24 and individual setting information stored on the tag card T is acquired by radio communication, the operation setting information stored in the main memory 24 is saved into a saving memory 30 and the acquired individual setting information is written into the main memory 24.
