PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device without a trouble such as two-sheet feeding or obliquely paper feeding, in the paper feeding device for feeding paper to a sheet processing machine such as a printing machine or a glazing machine (laminator). SOLUTION: First layer paper S1 located on the uppermost face of a plurality of sheets of paper S loaded on a paper placing board 1 is sucked up one sheet by one sheet by a suction pad 12 of a suction mechanism 11, and the paper is delivered to the conveying table 21 on a downstream side. Even if a second layer paper S2 is erroneously brought up together with the first layer paper S1 at the time, the paper is scraped off by a step 30 to fall to a normal position without a deviation.
