<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data-transmitting apparatus, a data receiving apparatus and a data-transmitting/receiving apparatus which can transfer data desired by a user to/from a communication partner apparatus, without troubles and easily. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The data-transmitting apparatus (11-19, 27) includes detectors (18, 19) a pattern discriminator (11), a transmission data discriminator (11), and a transmitter (18). The detector detects how a user holds the apparatus. On the basis of a result detected by the detector, the pattern discriminator discriminates the pattern of the detection result. The transmission data discriminator discriminates data to be transmitted corresponding to the pattern of the detection result discriminated by the pattern discriminator.
