<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe cassette for a pathologic tissue sample capable of efficiently preventing a label from peeling from the body of the cassette for the pathologic tissue sample to fall even if the cassette for the pathologic tissue sample is immersed in an organic solvent during specimen preparing work and capable of preventing a medical accident. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cassette for the pathologic tissue sample is constituted of the body of the shallow tray-shaped cassette for the pathologic tissue sample having a large number of through-holes formed to its base and the cover, which is made of a transparent material, attached to the outside wall of the body of the cassette for the pathologic tissue sample by a detachable attaching means so as to cover the label on which the data for specifying the pathologic tissue sample housed in the body of the cassette for the pathologic tissue sample is printed.
