PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient and low-cost protein production system using a nematode. SOLUTION: An object protein is produced by carrying out (1) a step of culturing and proliferating a transgenic nematode obtained by introducing an exogenote under control of glutathione S-transferase (GST) gene promoter or UDP-glucuronosyltransferase gene promoter as a xenobiotic metabolic enzyme gene promoter, (2) a step of inducing expression of the exogenote in the proliferated nematode and (3) a step of recovering the protein (human insulin-GST fused protein) which is an expression product of the exogenote.
