PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper, hardly causing a gap between the disposable diaper and a wearer, and improving fitting capability. SOLUTION: This disposable diaper 1 includes a pair of side flap parts 6 extending outward in the width direction (X-direction) from both side parts 51 of a back part B in its body 5 and respectively provided with fastening tapes 8. The side flap parts 6 of the disposable diaper 1 are formed like a truncated chevron shape. In the side flap parts 6, the side edges 61 in the extending direction are formed with a gradient to the center line CL of the body 5. The fastening tapes 8 of the disposable diaper 1 are formed extending from the side edges 61 of the side flaps 6 substantially orthogonally to the side edges 61. A stretch member 9 extending in the width direction is disposed between the pair of fastening tapes 8 of the disposable diaper 1, and the elastic force of a part 9a rather closer to the back side of the stretch member 9 is made larger than that in a part 9b rather closer to the crotch part.
