Method is proposed for remote determination of rate of drive wind that is in fact that with radio-altimeter installed on spacecraft one radiates water surface with registration of signal reflected back, by front of radio-pulse one determines effective height of surface waves, with determination of wind rate by value of reflected back signal with account of effective height of waves. According to the method one determines large-scale relief of surface by time of signal propagation to water surface and back, at that by relief of surface one calculates field of surface flow with calculation of effect of flow field on value of reflected back signal. |
