The system has a main cylinder (3) to which wheel brake circuits (I, II) are attached. A piston (12) operates the cylinder, and a hydraulic pressure chamber (16) is defined by the piston. A pressure regulating valve arrangement (23) is hydraulically attached to a pressure supplying device (22), the chamber and a pressure medium reservoir container (28), and regulates pressure triggered in the chamber.
