PURPOSE: A washing apparatus and a control method are provided to illuminate a steam supplying time selecting unit of a steam selecting member and a steam supplying amount selecting unit by turn or at the same time and to control the time of steam supplying and the amount of steam supplying by manipulating the illuminating selecting unit. CONSTITUTION: A washing apparatus comprises: a main selecting unit(32) which select a plurality of washing courses which including one or more course among washing, rinsing, dehydration, and drying; one or more sub selecting unit(34,35,36,37) which controls the level of the course which is chosen in the main selecting unit; a control panels(20) which comprises a plurality of lighting-emitting members which selectively illuminates the main selecting unit and one or more sub selecting unit; and a controller which operates the washing apparatus according to the course and the step which is selected. |
