PURPOSE: An overhead console for a vehicle is provided to control the opening size of a receiving space by tilting a bottom plate. CONSTITUTION: An overhead console for a vehicle comprises a housing(100), a tray(200), and a turning gear(500). The housing is combined in the car body. The tray comprises a receiving space. The tray inserts or draws out in the inner structure of the housing by the ascending and descending structure. A lower of a mounting space of the housing is opened in order that the tray is leaded into the inner structure of the housing. A guide rail(110) is formed in the sidewall of the mounting space. A plurality of saw teeth of the guide rail is continuously arranged to the top and the bottom. A turning gear is combined with the saw blade of the guide rail. A turning gear is rotatably installed to the tray.
