Rear assembly of a vehicle

The assembly has a rear opening frame e.g. lift gate, mounted rotatably about a transverse axis on a rear part of a vehicle. A fixation unit (50) fixes a body element i.e. spoiler, on the opening frame by rotation from a mounting position to an intermediate position and by sliding from the intermediate position to a mounted position on the opening frame. The fixation unit has a complementary lock mechanisms (70) arranged on the body element and the opening frame and fixing the body element on the opening frame in the mounted position. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a rear assembly of a vehicle.
