<p>The element (1) has a soller slit (2) e.g. linear soller slit, having a soller axis (5) defined by multiple lamellas, where the lamellas collimate an X-ray beam (10) with respect to a direction of the axis. A collimator delimits the X-ray beam, where the collimator is rigidly connected to the soller slit during operation of the optical element. The X-ray beam delimited by the collimator intersects the axis of the soller slit, where direction of the X-ray beam subtends an angle alpha greater than or equal to 10 degrees with respect to the axis of the soller slit. An independent claim is also included for a diffractometer comprising a source for generating a primary beam.</p> |
