A powder or granulate consists of at least unsaturated fatty acid or derivative thereof and at least one water insoluble carbohydrate. The composition may contain a surfactant. The fatty acid is preferably cod-liver or krill oil, and the carbohydrate is preferably microcrystalline cellulose. Also disclosed is a tablet containing such a composition, which may be used in the treatment of prophylaxis of cardiovascular, skin and bone disorders. A process for the preparation of the powder is disclosed. Further disclosures relate to a coated powder composition. |
