A display panel (1) includes an optical filter (50) which is attached to the panel for controlling the colour characteristics of the panel. The optical filter (50) includes a colour compensating layer (51) which produces transmittance colour by controlling transmittance light passing from an interior to an exterior of the panel, and a reflection layer (52) which produces reflection colour by controlling reflection light which is incident from the exterior to the panel, and which is reflected.
