<p>A caster device with detachable casters has a base 10, multiple positioning assemblies 20 formed on the base 10, each positioning assembly 20 comprising a holder (21 Fig 6). Caster 30 is then slidably and detachably mounted within an elongate channel between the positioning assemblies 20 and the holder. The base may also have a perimeter edge, multiple mounting holes 12 and a locking protrusion 23 wherein the locking protrusion has a proximal edge 232, a distal surface 231 and a guiding surface 233 extending between the two. When the caster is slid into place the locking protrusion moves into the mounting hole 12 and then returns into position (Fig 5) locking the caster in place. A positioning device may include a resilient member, for example a spring (223 Fig 6) which is provided with a positioning ball (224) that engages indentation (311) on the mounting panel.
