<p>A hand-held power tool 1 such as cordless screwdriver or a cordless drill is provided with a shiftable gear unit 3, which comprises at least two gear speeds that are to be engaged by means of an operator control element 6 which moves between at least two detent positions that correspond to the gear speeds of the gear unit and actuates a transmission member 7 that acts upon a gear unit component, wherein the transmission member 7 is moved between detent grooves 11, 12 that correspond to the detent positions. The operator control element 6 may slide axially and may include a spring (15 fig 4) forming two detent cams (16 fig 4) which engage with detent indentations (17, 18 fig 5) formed in a housing 2 and corresponding to the detent positions. The transmission member 7 may be an angularly adjustable wire clip mounted in a swivel bearing made up of guide cams 8, 9 on the housing 2, which cams limit the rotation of the wire clip.</p> |
