A device for collecting unintentionally lost mother's milk consists of an approximately cone-shaped hood 1 of waterproof material and an apertured disc 2 secured inside the hood to form a pocket with the hood. The hood 1 and apertured disc 2 may be made of synthetic plastic, oiled silk or fabric and glued together, the hood 1 being formed from a disc with one or two wedgeshaped cut-out portions, the edges of which are glued together. Porous water-absorbent material 3, e.g. cotton wool or cellulose, is placed in the pocket. The hood is secured in position by a garment in a brassiere so that the apertured disc 2 fits tightly against the breast, the pocket being kept open by the absorbent material 3.
