PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a super-wide-angle zoom lens which can have its focal length shortened and its back focus made long and has excellent optical performance over the entire power variation range as a super-wide-angle zoom lens whose visual angle exceeds 100°at its short-focal length end, and an imaging apparatus equipped with the same. SOLUTION: The zoom lens comprises a front group GF having negative refracting power on the whole and a rear group GB having positive refracting power on the whole in order from an object side; and the rear group GB has at least two positive lens groups G2 and G4 and the power is varied by varying at least the air gap between the lens groups G2 and G4 of the front group GF. The final lens group G4 which is arranged on the most image-plane side in the rear group GB has a cemented lens comprising three lenses L42 to L44 which have positive refracting power on the whole and have two cemented surfaces, and positive lenses L41 and L42 are each arranged by at least one on the object side and image side of the cemented lens.
