Flow splitter for a fan engine

The flow divider (1) has an annular leading edge (4) that is formed at an outer extent of an annular core air channel (2) and at an inner extent of an annular auxiliary air channel (3) at the same time. Separating units (6) are provided, which are applied in each arrangement by vane channels of the core air channel and the auxiliary air channel. An independent claim is also included for a method for increasing the working reliability of a fan engine by a flow divider.
