A light source has a base 1, which may be an Edison screw or bayonet fitting, an open framework 3 of interconnected limbs 7 and a number of LEDs 5 supported by the framework 3. The open frame 3 allows cooling of the LEDs 5. The frame 3 may take a polygonal, spherical or other shape. The limbs 7 may be moveable to alter the shape of the frame 3, for example, between a collapsed and expanded position. The limbs 7 may be formed from a single piece of flexible sheet material (fig 4). A sensor may be provided. |
