There are provided methods and apparatus for incorporating video usability information (VUI) within multi-view video coding (MVC). An apparatus (100) includes an encoder (100) for encoding multi-view video content by specifying video usability information for at least one selected from: individual views, individual temporal levels in a view, and individual operating points.
