A power supply system includes: a cell assembly formed by a first cell set having a plurality of first element cells connected in series and a second cell set having a plurality of second element cells connected in series; and a generator for charging the cell assembly. The cell assembly is set so that an average voltage V1 as a terminal voltage when the charge capacitance of the first cell set is half of a full charge capacitance is smaller than an average voltage V2 as a terminal voltage when the charge capacitance of the second cell set is half of a full charge capacitance.
