PURPOSE: A method for setting a destination in a navigation device remotely using a mobile phone is provided to reduce the inconvenience of navigation users by offering users of information on desired destination. CONSTITUTION: A method for setting a destination in a navigation device remotely using a mobile phone comprises the steps of: setting location information of the present destination where the mobile phone is located(S110), transmitting the destination location information as SMS or MMS through GPS satellite to a mobile phone in a car(S120), extracting and analyzing coordinates inclined in the message transmitted from the mobile phone, transmitting the destination information about the analyzed coordinates to the navigation device(S130), and setting the received coordinates as destination for guidance in the navigation device(S140).
