METHOD FOR SERVIC ING PATHS SETTING IN A NAVIGATION AND ITS APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for servicing path setting in a navigation device are provided to detect a stagnation area on the route and search for a new path detouring the stagnation area. CONSTITUTION: A method for servicing path setting in a navigation device. A stagnation predicted area to a destination is detected based on the current location. Real-time traffic information to the stagnation predicted area is received from an information center. The received real-time traffic information is displayed. The selected area on the displayed real-time traffic information is magnified and displayed. A detour route for the selected area is searched(S323). The final search route is reset in order to detour the stagnation area(S325). When arriving the stagnation predicted area, the present real-time traffic information is received from the information center. The reset final route is serviced according to the selection of the detour route.
