PURPOSE: An interference control method and an apparatus thereof for eliminating the downlink interference of a wireless telecommunications system are provided to control that the uplink transmission signal interferences the downlink. CONSTITUTION: A terminal receives the signal of a downlink frequency band adjacent to an uplink frequency band. The terminal measures an RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) of a downlink frequency band(703). The terminal compares the RSSI measured at the predetermined threshold value(705). When the RSSI is smaller than a set critical value(707), the terminal restricts the uplink transmission.
