METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OFDM SYMBOL WINDOW TIMING CONTROL AND CLUSTER COMBINING

PURPOSE: A method and a device for cluster combining and the controlling of OFDM symbol window timing are provided to minimize ISI effect by optimally controlling the location of an OFDM symbol window according to the multipath channel properties. CONSTITUTION: A symbol timing and window location unit(150) changes a signal(116) of a channel estimator(110) into a time axis signal by using an N-point IFFT(151). An additional path control and window position controller(155) decides the location of an N-point IFFT from an output signal of a path searching unit(153). A channel compensation and demodulator unit(174) each demodulates two clusters according to a control signal. A merging unit(190) annexes each of the demodulated clusters.
