PURPOSE: An anticancer composition containing an anticancer agent and a material suppressing activation or expression of L1CAM(L1 cell adhesion molecule) is provided to induce apoptosis of cancer cells. CONSTITUTION: An anticancer composition contains a material suppressing activation or expression of L1CAM and anticancer agent together or separately as an active ingredient. The material suppressing L1CAM activation is L1CAM-specific anti-L1CAM antibody, antigenic binding fragment thereof, or anti-L1CAM antibody or mutated antigenic binding fragement thereof. A material suppressing L1CAM expression is an oligo nucleotide suppressing the L1CAM expression. The anticancer agent is cisplatin, gemcitabine, 5-fluorouracil, docetaxel or paclitaxel.
