PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to easily and accurately detect the abnormality of a valve by detecting the abnormal operation of a valve according to the temperature change of a first room if only a second room is opened among the first room and the second room. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises: a compressor(112) which compresses refrigerant; a valve(130) which operates in order to supply cool air to one among a first room and a second room of the inside of the refrigerator by the compressed refrigerant; a controller which is proceeds a first mode which opens only the second room and detects the abnormal operation of the valve according to the temperature change of the first room; and a temperature sensor which senses the temperature of the first room and decides that the operation of the valve is in the abnormal operation in case of the sensing temperature is below a set temperature. |
