PURPOSE: An electronic throttle control system for a vehicle is provided to enable a throttle control unit to generate error code signals which give notice that external noise has flown into normal signals. CONSTITUTION: An electronic throttle control system for a vehicle comprises accelerator pedal position sensors(150a,150b), a throttle valve(140), throttle position sensors(160a,160b), and a throttle control unit(110). The accelerator pedal position sensor senses the stepping degree of the accelerating pedal. A throttle valve moves corresponding to the stepping degree of the accelerating pedal. The throttle position sensors sense the movement distance of the throttle valve. The throttle control unit computes the measured change value rates of the accelerating pedal and throttle valve from the accelerator pedal position sensor and the throttle position sensor.
