PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition for suppressing hepatic fibrosis is provided to use as an agent which suppressing hepatic fibrosis and a therapeutic agent for hepatic cirrhosis. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for suppressing hepatic fibrosis and treating hepatic cirrhosis contains anti-inflammatory agent and curcumin. The nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent is ibuprofen, naproxen, indomethacin, aspirin, or meclofenamate. The aspirin is non-selective COS(cyclooxygenase) inhibitor.
