The present invention describes a pharmaceutical composition, which consists of a natural extract of Matricaria recutita L. Astereaceae Family in amounts ranging from 30% to 60%, chemically pure hydroquinone ranging in concentrations of 0.1% to 6%, salicylic acid ranging in concentrations of 0.1% to 6%, ascorbic acid ranging in concentrations of 0.1% to 6% and rose water ranging in concentrations of 30% to 60%. Said pharmaceutical composition is useful for reducing hyperchromic patches of skin. 2. A second pharmaceutical composition is provided, which consists of a natural extract of Matricaria recutita L. Asteraceae Family ranging in amounts of 30% to 60%, chemically pure hydroquinone ranging in concentrations of 0.1% to 6%, rose water ranging in concentrations of 30% to 60%, Tragacanth gum ranging in concentrations of 0.1% to 3%, corboxymethylcellulose ranging in concentrations of 0.1% to 3%, cetyl alcohol ranging in concentrations of 0.1% to 4%, stearyl alcohol ranging in concentra tions of 0.1% to 4%, glycerine ranging in concentrations of 0.1% to 4%, cane alcohol of 96 (r) ranging in concentrations of 0.1% to 4%, sodium lauryl sulfate ranging in concentrations of 0.1% to 5% and water ranging in concentrations of 0.1% to 20%. Said pharmaceutical composition is useful for reducing hyperchromic patches of skin.
