MEASURING EQUIPMENT FOR TEMPERATURE OF MOLTEN STEEL IN TUNDISH

PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring the temperature of molten steel in a tundish is provided to ensure quality of slab, bloom, and billet by controlling the molten steel temperature and casting speed in the tundish. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring the temperature of molten steel in a tundish comprises a temperature detecting unit(50) and a control unit(60). The temperature detecting unit is inserted inside a stopper opening and closing an immersion nozzle of a tundish(20) and senses the temperature of molten steel discharged through the immersion nozzle. The control unit is electrically connected to the temperature detecting unit, compares the temperature of the molten steel detected by the temperature detecting unit with the set value, and controls the temperature of the molten steel discharged through the immersion nozzle according to the comparison result.
