PURPOSE: A boiler using compression heat and friction heat is provided to maintain watertightness between a rotary shaft and a cover by installing a mechanical seal housing in the outer surface of a cover of a boiler container(1). CONSTITUTION: A boiler using compression heat and friction heat comprises mechanical seal housings(35) and bearing housings(29a). The mechanical seal housings are fixed to the covers(11) of a boiler container(1). The bearing housings with pockets(31a) are formed on the outer surface of the mechanical seal housings. The pockets cover bearings(19a). Frictional heat generated in mechanical seals and bearings is used for heating circulating water.
