PURPOSE: An ultrasound system and a method thereof are provided to offer the exact volume information by measuring the volume of an object based on reconstituted volume data. CONSTITUTION: A volume data forming part(121) forms the volume data by using ultrasonic data. A first image formation part(122) forms a plurality of slice images by using the volume data. A period detector(123) establishes the movement cycle of an object at based on a feature point set in the slice image. A volume data reconstruction part(124) reconstructs the volume data to a plurality of sub-volume data. A contour setting part(125) establishes the contour of the object to each sub-volume data. A measuring part(126) forms the volume information by measuring the volume of the object.
