NOVEL ORGANIC DYE INCORPORATING A BENZOTHIADIAZOLE CHROMOPHORE AND PREPARATION THEREOF

PURPOSE: A benzothiadiazole chromophore containing organic dye is provided to use the dye for a dye-sensitized solar cell for improving the efficiency of a battery with the excellent stability and photoelectric cell performance compared to a conventional dye. CONSTITUTION: A benzothiadiazole chromophore containing organic dye includes a structure selected from three structured marked with chemical formulas 1~3. In the chemical formulas, R1 is either CH3-CH=C(CN)COOH or CH3CX=CY-CZ=C(CN)COOH. X,Y, and Z are hydrogen, alkyl with C1~C30, alkoxy, or heteroalkoxy, respectively. R2,R3, R4, and R5 are the hydrogen, halogen, amide, cyano, hydroxyl, nitro, acyl, the alkyl with C1~C30, alkoxy with C1~C30, alkyl carbonyl with C1~C30, and aryl with C6~C20, respectively.
