PURPOSE: A valve assembly for a water hammer absorber is provided to be used without the fear of damage due to the extended use of a packing by not applying the packing to a valve member which allows or blocks fluid flow. CONSTITUTION: A valve assembly for a water hammer absorber comprises a connection pipe, a valve member(30), and an absorber(40). The connection pipe comprises a conduit(20a) through which fluid flows. The connection pipe comprises connection parts(21, 22) which are formed at both ends of the connection pipe. The valve member is installed inside the connection pipe. The valve member controls the flow of the fluid. The absorber is connected to be communicated with the upper connection unit(23) of the connection pipe. The valve member comprises a ball(31), a stem, and a handle.
