PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to connect an end part of a pixel electrode contiguous to channel area to TFT(Thin Film Transistor), thereby reducing processing time. CONSTITUTION: A TFT(Thin Film Transistor)(124,173,175,154) is connected to a gate line(121) and a data line. A channel area is formed on a central part of the thin film transistor. The first protection film is located in upper side of the thin film transistor and data line. The first protection film protects the thin film transistor. In a pixel electrode(191), an end part which is contiguous to the channel area is connected to the thin film transistor. A common electrode(131) is electrically insulated with the pixel electrode.
