A coffin lining comprising padding 10, a cover 11, and a decorative fabric 14 are secured together to form a unit to facilitate fixing the lining in a coffin The padding may be layers of crepe paper or, when the lining is made solely of a thermo-plastic synthetic resinous material, the padding is of cellular form. The layers are secured by stitching or by fusing of the synthetic resinous material. Fabric covered tacks or staples may secure the lining in position or tacks or staples may pass through the top part 12 of the lining and be covered by a strip 16 which extends above the part 12. |
