PURPOSE: A method for calculating a correction value and a display device is provided to compensate the non-uniformity in the display device by removing a region which is not capable of being compensated in a high-illuminance region. CONSTITUTION: Target illuminance values(TG1, TG2, TG3) are set on the entire of a display panel. The target values are not-uniform. A part of the distribution of the target illuminance values is a curve distribution at a planar position. Each correction value(H1, H2, H3) at the planar positions of the display panel is calculated using illuminance and the target illuminance values. An image signal value is provided to the front side of the display panel. |
