PURPOSE: A display device and a channel searching method thereof are provided to reduce the channel search time by omitting the channel search process about the channel in which the proper channel number is allocated and the channel having identical proper channel number. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(110) stores the information of the searched effective channel of a channel search division(100). According to the presence of the intrinsic channel number information, a controller(120) assigns the channel number of each effective channel. The controller stores the channel information of each effective channel including the channel number in the storage. The controller dividedly compartmentalizes the channel including the intrinsic channel number information and the channel not including the intrinsic channel number information and stores in the storage. |
