PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition for skin whitening containing Glycyrrhiza uralensis extract and natural tackifier is provided to ensure skin whitening effects and excellent usability and to improve skin condition. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for whitening contains Glycyrrhiza uralensis extract as an active ingredient and 0.1-3.0 weight% of bentonite and xanthan gum as a tackifier. The composition enhances skin moisturization. The cosmetic composition additionally contains propanediol, glycerin, 1,3-butylene glycol, propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, or sorbitol. The composition is used in the form of a lotion, massage cream, eye cream, eye essence, or essence.
