A DIGITALIZED RECEIVER USING A VOLTAGE CONTROLLED OSCILLATOR BASED ANALOG-TO-DIGITAL CONVERTER

PURPOSE: A digitalized receiver using a voltage controlled oscillator based analog-to-digital converter is provided to allow the digitalized receiver to be programmed by simultaneously processing a down conversion process and an analog-digital conversion process. CONSTITUTION: The digitized receiver(600) of a first structure comprises a low noise amplifier(610), a voltage controlled oscillator based analog-digital converter(620) and a digital signal processing unit(630). The low noise amplifier reduces noises from analog data signal including the noise and data. The low noise amplifier provides the amplified analog data signal. The voltage controlled oscillator based analog-digital converter provides digital output signal by converting the amplified analog data signal to digital signal. The digital signal processing unit processes the digital output signal.
