The invention relates to a lock device having at least one individual lock (11) for the insertion of strip material (2). In order to be able to maintain or repair the lock device, particularly the individual locks thereof, without needing to remove strip material (2) from the lock device, the invention proposes that the individual lock be made of at least one first and one second part, wherein the two parts are connected to one another via a releasable connection in order to open and close the individual lock, and for at least one device (24, 25) to be provided for moving or displacing the first and second part of the individual lock relative to one another in or opposite the transport direction of the strip material (2) when the connection is open.
